For the past few years I have been engaged with issues of iconography. Specifically the question of what does an American icon of the Buddha look like. This is an ongoing project and here are a few examples.

Watercolour and drawing is an important part of my creative process. From automatic spontaneous sketches, to landscape, I work with watercolour to generate ideas for paintings, as color studies to work out color problems, and to just loosen up and have fun. This gallery is a selection these studies.

This is a collection of various works on paper. Ideas in various stages of growth. Studies for paintings. Tests of different mediums.
